4.1 SQRRR Ch. 4 and 5

What are some strategies for arguments?
There are different strategies for effectively haveing an argument. These are having an argument based on a speakers character. This is an ethical argument. You could also have a logical argument based on reason and evidence. Then theres is also an argument based on a emotional backing. This stratagy is called pathos.

What is ethos?
Ethos is basically invoking character, and using one of the most powerful forms of persuasion.

What is logos?
Logos is a type of stratagy used in arguments. It is basically tyring to argue logically. But it is almost impossible to argue logically when you can't use words properly. Logos and logic sound a lot alike and are mostly considered one in the same. Both of them involve having a good language and command of information. Logos and logical arguments are normally those based on facts and evidence, rather then emotional backing.

What is Pathos?
Pathos is an argument based the best way to get to the reader. Base your argument on the readers emotions. This is also not one of the best ways to do it because it carries a very high risk of failing and causesing problems.

What does it mean to manage the composing process?
this is when you will look at and define the relationship between writing and thinking. it is when you will define your topic and Consider your audience and define your terms.

What does it mean to structor your argument?
It means to determin in what order, stucture and way you will write and present your argument.
