Here is One of the poems i wrote
Baby Boy
There are no words
For a mother
Who is Broken hearted
There are no words
That will give relief
To a mother that lost a child
Who is Drowning in grief
Somehow she will find strength
To face this dark day
A day as cold as Ice
Her house feels so empty
Her soul destroyed
For she just now lost
Her sweet baby boy
There are no words
That can describe
That strong woman
Without her son by her side
Her heart may be broken
Her soul may be destroyed
But she will never truly lose
Her precious baby boy

What is Logos?
Logos is a type of stratagy used in arguments. It is basically tyring to argue logically. But it is almost impossible to argue logically when you can't use words properly. Logos and logic sound a lot alike and are mostly considered one in the same. Both of them involve having a good language and command of information. Logos and logical arguments are normally those based on facts and evidence, rather then emotional backing.
What does appraising evidence mean?
Appraising evidence is taking the evidence that you have in front of you identiflying that it is appropriate for makeing the case and proving a point.
How are facts, personal experience, Authority, and values used as evidence?
These are used as evidence in a number of different ways such as background evidence, proving knowledge in the subject matter and so on.
What are the paterns of logic?
Logos arguments can take serveral different forms. The two most common ones are inductive and deductive.
What is reasoning inductivity and reasoning deductivity?
Inductivly reasoning is a series of observations leading to a conclusion or broad generalization. And deductive reasoning is an argument that rest on truths, values and the rights rather then on available evidence.
What does it mean to understand and evaluate claims and warrents?
It is good to understand the claims and the warrents so that you have a propper understanding on what is going on.

3.8 - practice persuasion - 30 pts
The assignment that i have in front o me right now is to decide which one o these ethos, logos or pathos would be better suited for persuading your supervisor to choose your team to do the new sales campaign.
This was and still is a kinda hard decision to make because it can go two different ways. This is because ethos and logos are very close in relation.
This was and still is a kinda hard decision to make because it can go two different ways. This is because ethos and logos are very close in relation.
But i think I am going to choose logos I think because logos is backed by evidence and reason. Most bosses look for someone who has a history or doing good and and working hard, and so on. But then again that helps ethos stand out as which one to choose because ethos is an argument based on characteristics. And most bosses like to choose people with good character.
So as you can see this is a tough decision to make and at this time I'm gonna have to say a mixture between both. I know for sure that i wouldn't choose pathos because that is an emotional based argument and i think that this type of argument is inappropriate.
3.7 - help your partner learn your method of - 30 pts
i used the sqrrr method to complete 3.6 so i decided that i would teach my partner to use it to complete the section about Pathos. I chose Pathos because it is interesting to look at the emothional aspects o an argument.

Assignment # 2.5- 20 pts. My thoughts on the assigned readings ch. 1, 2, 3.
This assignment is to write about what my feelings about what i have read so far in chapters one two and three. Okay where do i start. Im not sure. o kay i think that i will do a chapter by charter oppion. This one is actually kinda interesting and will be short.
Okay chapter one. Chapter one was a somewhat educational chapter. Well acutally more informative. I learn that an argument to prevail is actually most comonally known as the formal argument. This type or argument is used by lawyers. i also learned different ways to use arguments and to properly argue. Chapter 2 tought me about different things that are used to make my audience interact better. It also taught me about the rheporic situation. And last but not least charpter 3 taught me about how arguments are used in the media, and how most media is connected together. Like most visual or web arguments have to be put in print first. i think out of all of the chapters chapter 3 was mostly boring.

Assignment # 4.2
I chose for my first part of this to choose #3 to review med school admission requirments, survey available courses, and required classes, and survey different medical field. To start this off i went and reserched different schools and requested information on the different medical programs and classes available.
Okay to start off in the med education feild you mostly have to start out in premed if you would like to become a nurse or higher. There are some colleges that offer pre med. To get into the program of pre med most schools make you take a test and if you rank high enough you can be admitted to this school. Most of these schools also require that you have letters of recomendation to start attending.
Okay there are some schools such as University of Alaska Anchorage that don't offer high med or pre med. But they do offer Nursing. So I decided that i would take a step into finding about the
nursing programs there while i wait on more information from the other colleges.
Okay first i went and looked on the UAA website and found the prospective students pages and then i clicked on the majors link. After entering into the link to select my major. After finding nursing I clicked it to open the link to the school of nursing page. http://nursing.uaa.alaska.edu/ Upon ariving at this page I clicked the Programs Link and it brought up a list of differnt nursing programs to choose from.
After thinking about it for a moment i decided that i would first look at the Associates of applied science concentration in nursing. After reserching the program that i choose I learned that in order to to take this program you must have take High School Algebra, High School Biology with lab, High School Chemistry with lab. If you didnt take those then before you can be admited to the school of nursing you must take MATH 055 , BIOL 102 & BIOL 103, or BIOL 111/L, CHEM 055 or a higher level of chemistry. You also must have had a minimum high school GPA of 2.0 or higher, have completed the UAA Undergraduate application and have a AAS nursing pre-major status and have a transcript evaluation, you must fill out and complete a School of Nursing application, have three letters of recommendation and a confidential form. You must have completed 15 college credits or SAT, ACT or ACCUPLACER scores. You must take the Nurse Entrance Test (NET), and have evidence of receiving academic advising from a nursing advisor. Before completing all of these you are not elegable for admission into the UAA school of nursing. While enrolled you will be required to complete 70 college credits. You will also have to have health and criminal background checks. The health check consist of Immunity to rubella, Immunity to rubeola chicken pox (history of having chicken pox may be substituted for blood titer), Hepatitis B; First semester clinical students who are not immune to Hepatitis B must provide documentation of having completed the first shot in the series and completion of the 3 shot series followed by a titer to demonstrate immunity during the second clinical semester. Documentation of having started the two shot hepatitis A immunization series for students enrolling in their first clinical nursing course. Assignment # 2.4- Survey, Question, Read, Write, Recite, and Review
Chapter 1
Q: What is the purpose of an argument?
There are many purposes for arguments. You may be trying to prove a point, get your way or just defending yourself or something else. Almost everything in the world that surrounds you can cause or be part of an argument. Whether its personal or political, depends on the circumstances surrounding it. It's not just the fact that you can argue over things its the point of should it be. And would it be practical or truly ethical to argue over? This is a call left to whom ever wishes to make the call on it.
Q: What is an argument to Assert, Prevail, Inquire or Negotiate and Reconcile?
There are many different purposes to have an argument. Some of the main reasons are to Assert, Prevail, Inquire or Negotiate and Reconcile. Most of these are used mixed together in arguments. So lets look at some of them now. An argument to assert is an argument that is most commonly known as an argument to claim or state an opinion. This kind of argument can be anything from stating your opinion during a class discussion or on politics to responding to rules and polices. The next purpose is having an argument to prevail. An argument to prevail is most commonly thought of as a formal argument. This is a type that means you are there to achieve a specific point based on mostly facts and that you are there to win. This type is most popularly used by lawyers. they will use this purpose to either convict or exonerate clients. you can also use this form of an argument in debate or formal situations. The next type of argument is the argument to inquire. The final type is the negotiate and reconcile argument. This type of argument can become quickly heated and can end up being violent. They are most commonly caused by differences in opinion that need to be reconciled. After a negotionative argument the out come normally is a reconciliation in opinions but this is not always true. Not all negotiation arguments can be reconciled.

Chapter 2
Q: What is context of an argument?
The Context of an argument is what you must take into consideration before you begin an argument. For example you wouldn't want to begin an argument without knowing how your audience will react to it. Before you begin an argument you must take into consideration your audience and the subject of the argument as well as historical facts. You must do more then just examine the topic you must examine your surroundings.
Q: What is Rhetorical Situation?
For a long time rhetoricians have used a triangle as a
metaphor to describe rhetorical situation. This triangle tells us that when we make an argument we must interact with an audience on that subject. Rhetorical situation can affect how an argument is addressed and how they will respond to the argument. When you first start your argument you must analyze you audience. If you are trying to solve a problem knowing your audience will help you gain a better understanding on how to get them to engage in your argument. This may be hard so you should try and imagine what your audience will be like, and how they will react to your argument. This can also cause you to make assumptions about your audience that can be wrong.

When you prepare an argument you should address your argument to the individuals not just a genetic group of people. Because every person has their own values, beliefs, and backgrounds. So when you focus on addressing every one you will bring different experience, knowledge, beliefs, and background to the interaction. But before you begin you must understand culture. Culture in a way is more complicated then it may seem and can be understood it different ways. This is because culture is a persons sense of identity. This is because it relates to a persons race, religion status, and background. These make up how a person in an audience will react to a situation. No two people are the same hence no two people will have the same cultural backgrounds, and no two people will have the same experiences in their life. and because of this you should be culture sensitive with your audience, during your argument. Culture also consist of gender, sexual orientation and age. Some arguments such as women's rights would be more appealing to a women then a man and arguments on family status questions can be offensive to a gay couple. So you must make sure you are culturally correct.
